MRES hosts a monthly speaker series to provide the community with up-to-date, relevant information. Speakers come from technical, policy, business, scientific, and advocacy backgrounds and help to address the many facets of the renewable energy movement.

The Eco Experience at the Minnesota State Fair is a compilation of cutting-edge displays on various sustainability efforts including renewable energy, electric vehicles, water resource conservation, organic farming and more!

Sustainability Tour

MRES is a Local Organizer for the ASES National Solar Tour and invites people across the country to learn about solar technology and sustainability from the personal experiences of home and business owners in the Minnesota region.

community solar garden

MRES, along with our parter Greenway Solar, has built a community solar garden,
where qualifying households can apply for a subscription and save money on their monthly electric bill.

solar boat regatta

The Solar Boat Regatta allows teams to demonstrate knowledge of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to design and build boats powered by the sun. They compete in a number of races, culminating with a one-hour endurance race.
