MRES thanks our 2024 Eco Experience Volunteers!

—a letter from our Board Chair, Mark Weber

On behalf of the MRES Board of Directors, I would like to personally thank all 25 Eco Experience Community Partners and 120 volunteers who stepped up to help make the 2024 MRES Eco Experience a roaring success. A whopping 218,354 visitors made the Eco Experience their destination—a 4.3% increase from 2023! That’s a lot of opportunities for conversations about energy efficiency, solar energy and affordable pathways to electrifying your home and lifestyle.

Our six dedicated Site Managers and many volunteers assured that visitors felt welcomed, had fun, learned ways to reduce their carbon footprint and ways state and federal incentives can save them money to go green. We encourage everyone to follow up-to-date news on incentives on our partner Climate Reality Project’s website.

Jeff Stuhr, MPCA Eco Experience Manager in charge, shared his appreciation:

“I want to say thank you to exhibitors for all of your hard work. We are again receiving excellent comments from visitors. Our guests have included visits from foreign dignitaries, federal officials and our own Lt Governor Peggy Flanagan! It’s because of all your efforts that this event continues to shine and is one of the perennial favorite exhibits on the fairgrounds!”

It takes a community to stage a show like our 2000 square foot MRES Eco Experience. In addition to expressing gratitude to our 100+ onsite volunteers, please let out a cheer for MPCA who invited us, our 25 Eco Experience Partners who helped make our exhibits possible and our MRES board members and crew who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
