The Blue Green Alliance Foundation (BGAF) seeks a Solar Energy Supply Chain Manufacturing Specialist

The Clean Energy Manufacturing Center (CEMC), a program of the Blue Green Alliance Foundation, focuses on job creation opportunities in the emerging clean energy industries. The center serves as a "one stop shop" for small manufacturers looking to participate in supply chains in the growing wind power and solar energy sectors and for public officials looking to develop clean energy strategies for their communities.

The Clean Energy Manufacturing Center of the BlueGreen Alliance Foundation is seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join its Minneapolis, MN team. The primary function of this position will be to develop a tool to assess opportunities for companies interested in entering the solar energy supply chain and also to help determine a company's capabilities/qualifications to enter this market.

The manufacturing specialist will also be expected to conduct workshops/seminars for manufacturers as well as advise individual companies concerning their potential role in the solar energy supply chain market. These activities take place nationally.

Southeast CERTs seeks 2-3 temporary contractors

Work in southeastern Minnesota to assist with its energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives. The SE CERT region spans 15 counties from Blue Earth and Faribault on the west to Goodhue, Wabasha, Winona and Houston on the east.

  • Assist CERTs with advancing its mission—to connect individuals and communities to the resources they need to identify and implement community-based energy projects—in the Southeast part of Minnesota.
  • Connect local government entities—from cities and counties to schools and parks—with information about energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities, resources, and project models.
  • Work to recruit city participation in the Minnesota GreenStep Cities program and assist cities as they begin implementation of the program.

Our Power Seeking Youth for Paid Internships

The community outreach campaign, Our Power, is looking for an intern to engage groups of community members in neighborhood energy solutions. These positions are intended for youth in the community, though any community members interested in engaging local youth and other residents are welcome to apply. These are designed as paid internships (we have $750 for 120 hours), for-credits internship, or volunteer roles - the Spring session is for February-May. Cooperative Energy Futures is seeking a Community Energy Savings Manager

This part-time home energy workshop role is for throughout 2012 with Cooperative Energy Futures (extension and expansion likely based on success and availability of funds). CEF is looking for someone who is able to meet, get to know, and engage a broad number of local community members and support them in taking action together to save energy and money through energy saving workshops and neighborhood energy projects. People who are interested in connecting with and help local residents form block groups or other community teams (geographic or otherwise) are strongly encouraged to apply. NEC seeking Residential Energy Audit Program Manager

The NEC manages multiple home energy audit and residential energy analysis programs and is responsible for meeting and exceeding performance goals on participation, energy savings and customer satisfaction. The NEC manages Xcel Energy’s Home Energy Audit Program, which provides whole home energy analyses so people can prioritize actions and investments to reduce their home energy use. ACEEE Seeking a Chief Operating Officer

The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE, aceee.org) is seeking an experienced manager with energy efficiency experience to serve as a member of our senior management team and to play a lead role in our operations. The position oversees ACEEE's finance, human resources, and IT systems, as well as an ACEEE research program area (to be selected based on the successful candidate's background and experience).  The position description is available on our Web site.

MN Environmental Initiative Seeking a Manager of Environmental projects

Specific responsibilities may include: management and execution of large events including policy forums, business and environment sessions, and air quality series, and support of dialogue projects focused on air quality and on agriculture and water quality. Sierra Club MN seeking Campus Beyond Coal Student Organizing Fellow

The Student Organizing Fellow is responsible for recruiting, engaging, and motivating large numbers of people to take repeated action and develop leaders to further Campus Beyond Coal’s goal of reducing the University of Minnesota’s carbon emissions. Identifies and develops volunteers to take on the role of team leaders and build grassroots power and networks. Identifies and builds alliances with other organizations which can influence decision-makers. Regularly works outside of the office and without direct supervision to communicate with officials, the media and the public.
