Take I-94 East to Wisconsin. Take the downtown Hudson Exit 1, 35N. Continue North on WI-35N 3.4 mi to Krattley Lane. Turn right on Krattley for .2 mi and then take left onto 10th St. North. Take 10th St. N. .2 mi to Kirkwood Way North and take left. 908 Kirkwood Way North will be on your left.
The Passive HouseTM in the Woods is the first certified Passive HouseTM in Wisconsin, and one of the only a few net energy positive and carbon-neutral buildings in the country. It blends economy, ecology, health and durability in ways only Passive House can.
The Domestic hot water system utilizes a 40 sq. ft. Solar Skies collector on the roof to pre-warm water in a 50 gallon storage tank. It is capable of providing over 85% of the hot water used in the home.
The 3.68kW solar electric system consists of 16 Sunpower 230 watt modules atop a Wattsun dual axis tracker and uses a Sunpower 4000 inverter. The smaller .84kW rooftop system consists of four Sunpower 210watt modules and uses Enphase inverters.

The 2 solar electric systems generate a surplus over the energy consumed on site, avoiding 2.78 tons of C02 annually, and therefore providing carbon neutral operation for a household of two people.
