The garage was dismantled and 75% of the wood framing and siding was salvaged. A new foundation, complete with tubing for in-floor heat, was poured. Refurbished solar thermal panels were mounted at 60 degrees for maximum winter heat gain. Several inches of dirt on the roof provide further insulation and space for plantings, adding another form of of solar energy this shop will utilize.
