A 6 module, 1.344 KW PV system. This was a good application for Enphase micro-inverters because a shadow from the 8" furnace exhaust vent passes across two of the modules during the morning. Since there is a separate inverter associated with each module, only the shaded module's production is affected when the shadow falls on it. Had we used a traditional "string" inverter instead of six micro-inverters, production by every module would have been affected even though the shadow may be cast on only one module.
