This is a single-family home in Champlin, 4-bedroom, 4-level split. We have very limited south-facing roof space, and at the time the smallest inverter we could find required 7 modules, so we have two separate mounting examples at our site (flush mount and stand-off). Our initial home electricity consumption was 600 kWh/month. Before we installed this solar system, we set out to learn where that 600 kWh/month was going. We were able to reduce our use to 278 kWh/month before installing solar. For most families this little system might only be 15-20% of their bill, but for us it makes about 60% of our electricity! The 'payback' that was important to us was environmental. We are offsetting coal-fired electricity. The "ROE" (Return On Environment) was immediate.
