Bills-Grebe Residence
618 23rd Street NE
Rochester, MN 55906

|
Built in 1964, the 2,350-square-foot Bills-Grebe
home generates 56% of its own energy through a solar electric system
mounted on the roof. Two factors came to light in deciding to install
a solar array: 1) To help the environment, and 2) To help the community
with peak demand. Like many solar system owners, the Bills-Grebes
plan to install more solar — in fact they added roof-mounted
solar collectors in May 2008 to produce domestic hot water and to
heat their house.
