Course Description
These workshops are being offered with the
anticipation of a future state and utility incentive program for
solar thermal systems. The two-day course is designed for participants
who have a level of knowledge equivalent to that of a Master or
Journeyman plumber, pipefitter, or HVAC contractor. It is also available
to solar energy installers.
The course will cover in detail what constitutes
a quality, code-compliant, solar hot water heating system. Learn
how to design and install a solar energy system for both domestic
hot water and space heating needs! This two-day workshop covers
solar resource fundamentals, solar thermal applications, components,
codes, and standards for commercial and residential buildings.
Who Should Attend?
Plumbers, HVAC contractors, mechanical contractors,
solar companies, and code officials.
Registration priority will be given to plumbers,
contractors, installers, and solar companies. If class size permits,
registration may be opened to general contractors.
